Theology from Home: It is now possible to study theology, either for its own sake or for a degree, from the comfort of your own home! The Dominicans in Tallagh are offering a full programme through distance learning – following the method of the Open University – consisting of fifteen-week modules and supported by a network of centres around the country (the Dominicans in Sligo operate one such centre). On Monday 3, Third Years, Sixth Years and Repeat Leaving Certs and on Tuesday 4 all pupils are expected in school as usual.Īrdkeeran NS Re-opens next Thursday, August 30, and the other three schools in the parish on Monday September 3. First and Second year students will attend and on Friday 31 Transition Year and Fifth Years. On Wednesday 29 only First Year students are to attend. If anyone wishes to make a larger contribution that would be greatly appreciated. This may be paid weekly or monthly or if anyone household could afford to pay a full year’s contribution now it would be of immense help since it would make it possible to pay off all costs without taking out a loan. As announced recently at Mass in Sooey, it would be very helpful if each household would contribute at least ?20 per month to the Sooey Building Fund. These latter are not included in the total above but will be lodged in the usual way along with the weekly contributions from the purple envelopes.
