While at first Shadow is the only one seen to be able to use Chaos Control, following the trend that Sonic and Shadow have the same abilities, Sonic is later revealed to be able to use it as well. Shadow is also able to use a variety of other Chaos powers, such as "Chaos Spear" and "Chaos Blast". In contrast, the Archie Comics version of Shadow can directly access the "Chaos Force" and does not require a Chaos Emerald. Additionally, with the power of a Chaos Emerald, Shadow can warp time and space with Chaos Control. He can also perform spin attacks common to Sonic, which are variations on the tendency for hedgehogs to roll into tight balls for protection. To the Sonic Fanboys: Sonic isn't the only one who can run fast, actually almost all the characters of Sonic can, Shadow can do it, Blaze can do it, Tails can do it, Eggman can do it, Knuckles can do it, Amy also, etc etc, running fast isn't something unique in Sonic Not sure what fires you're trying to start but at face value this looks like you're arguing over nothing. Which is why no one that I've ever seen is ready to defend that statement to their last breath. Ever since Shadow's debut game it's been wrong, and anyone who even remotely gives a shit about the story knows it's wrong and if you're a Shadow fanboy, you bet your ass they give a shit about the story. when has anyone ever argued that "only Shadow can use Chaos Control"? I've seen some pretty blind, biased, stubborn fanboys in my day, never mind the fact that it can be tenfold with this franchise sometimes, but I don't think any of them have argued something that is so obviously, undeniably wrong (even if you're definitely overselling it when has Blaze ever used Chaos Control?).

Plus Shadow's got all his other Chaos powers going for him, most of which (if not all) he can use without an Emerald, unlike other characters who do need some kind of Emerald (real or otherwise) to do even the bare minimum. Shadow is the one with the most experience with Chaos Control, and who's indisputably the most associated with it.
